The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company relies on the generous support of the public to provide essential fire protection, emergency medical services, and care for the Chincoteague Pony herd. Unlike many communities, the Town of Chincoteague does not impose a fire tax - meaning our ability to purchase life-saving equipment depends largely on proceeds from the annual carnival, pony auction, and community donations.
