This morning at 0252 hours, we were alerted for a Residential Structure Fire at 3418 Main Street, Chincoteague

Ambulance 3-1, Engine 3-4, and Ladder 3 responded. 3-43 S. Christiansen had command and upon investigation held responding units to Station 3. The affected area was isolated to an outside electrical outlet which had burned from outside into the wall and insulation. This receptacle problem was probably the result of a massive thunderstorm with powerful wind, rain, and lightning. Crews cleared out the drywall and insulation in the immediate area and removed all electrical hazards.
