| Ambulance 3-1 and Engine 3-4 arrived on scene and began clearing roadways and assessing patients who thankfully had non life threatening injuries. While both lanes of Route 175 were closed from the accident, units were able to reach the scene and clear a small lane through so that ambulance 3-0 who were already out on an EMS call on the island could get through to continue transporting without delay, CPD were able to escort Accomack County School Busses through the small lane and then tow trucks were able to remove 3 vehicles from the roadway while two others were able to continue driving. Meanwhile during tow operations another EMS call occurred on Chincoteague while all of the Chincoteague Units were already enroute to local hospitals. We cleared an engine to provide first aid while ambulance 9-2 (responding from station 20) was able to transverse the scene to respond. A total of four EMS transports occurred in the 75 minute incident.
